Stillwave doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no third-party tracking, and no advertising. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone. We can't see it because we never receive it.
When you use the app, certain information is stored locally on your device so that the app can remember your preferences:
This information is stored in your phone's standard app storage. It is accessible only to the Stillwave app on your phone. We do not receive copies, backups, or summaries of any of it. If you uninstall the app, this information is deleted with it.
Stillwave generates therapy sounds (white noise, brown noise, ocean, etc.) on your device. The audio files are created on your phone, stored on your phone, and played from your phone. No audio is streamed or downloaded.
The Frequency tab plays tones for sound therapy and tinnitus matching. These tones are generated on your device.

That's it. We don't request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location, files, or anything else.
Stillwave is intended for adults managing tinnitus. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because we don't collect data at all. The safety screener at onboarding is designed to direct anyone who may be unsuitable for self-managed sound therapy toward appropriate professional resources.
Stillwave does not send crash reports to us. If the app crashes, the operating system may keep its own crash log on your phone — that is a phone behaviour, not ours.
If you purchase Stillwave from the Google Play Store, payment is handled entirely by Google Play. Their privacy policy applies to that transaction. We never receive your payment details, name, or address from Google. We only receive a confirmation that you have purchased the app.
If you join the waitlist on stillwavetinnitusapp.netlify.app, your email address is collected by Netlify Forms and stored in our Netlify dashboard. We use this email only to notify you once when Stillwave launches on Google Play. We do not share waitlist emails with anyone, and you can email us at any time to be removed.
If we ever change this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Because we don't have user accounts or contact information for app users, we can't notify you of changes individually. Re-reading this page is the way to verify what we do (and don't do) with your information.
